A New Hall at St Anne's Catholic Church

ATP have recently completed the construction of a new church hall for the Diocese of Brentwood.

Our brief was to provide a cost effective, modern and open space within the existing lobby and auxiliary areas to the existing Church, and a striking but complimentary and cohesive building to form the new hall. The new development had to be integrated within the existing site to create the space required whilst still allowing considerable open usable recreational areas.

By taking the most striking features from the existing buildings including the historic church entrance portico to the main lobby and reception areas and emphasising them within the concept designs ATP developed a scheme that suited both the Churches vision for the future and the practical functions that were required of the building.

We were approached by the Church Building & Heritage Review to write an article for their August publication.
