Children's Centre Approved

Planning approval has been received for a new Children's Centre for the London Borough of Harrow. The scheme forms part of development works at Cedars School, Harrow, to amalgamate the lower and upper years schools to provide a primary school offering pre-school advice and support to parents and their children. The building also provides for a new crèche, nursery, reception years classrooms and a new entrance to the school. The building uses sustainable building techniques such as timber frame construction, lambs wool insulation and sedum green roofs combined with an energy efficient services system. Construction works are due to commence September 2007 for completion mid 2008.
